Mindful Power Yoga 

Some yoga experience suggested,  Beginners with no injury

This is not just challenging the muscles, this is creating complete awareness of the current state of your body strength and stability and learning to honor where you are in each moment.  
By mindfully moving through poses to work the muscles and stronger balances, you will safely develop an overall deeper  strength and support without injury or tearing down the joints.  

Continual breath work and repetitive flow creates strengthening of the heart and breathing muscle.

Slightly faster flow requires mental concentration to support deeper focus ability to develop.

Deep stretching of the muscles and full relaxation at end create a balanced environment, ripe for encouraging deep healing and regeneration throughout.

Deeply nourishing practices balancing postures for safely stretching overworked/tight areas of the body with postures to deepen strength and support in weaker areas.

Yin Deep Stretch/Meditation 

All levels/ Beginners welcome

Based on Chinese medicine and basic held stretching to create accupressure type effects in the deeper tissues of the body.  

 Safely create greater mobility, more range of motion and comfort in the joints, particularly in back, hips, knees and ankles.

Just as in accupuncture, pressure points create blood flow and attention to specific points throughout the body working to enliven and heal internal organs and open energy flow throughout.

Guided meditation and stillness practice develops deep ease and a drop in stress throughout body and mind.

Deep relaxation practice at end to restore and refresh body and mind.

Sunrise Therapeutic Flow on the Beach or Beach Patio      
Perfect for beginners/any level, basic postures with therapeutic, mindful attention.  Breathe, stretch, energize while watching the sun rise over the Atlantic.  No crowds, just you, the sound of the ocean and the sun creating early sparkles on the water...Best time to experience quiet serenity on the beach!

Mindful Power/Core  
Some yoga experience suggested/ or any level if in good physical condition, no injury.  
Postures and visualization connecting mind/body to enhance power, stability, balance, and ease.
Specific breathing technique throughout movements to stimulate cardiovascular benefits/weight loss. Slightly faster pace and more challenging, yet basic postures designed to encourage muscular strength, increased blood flow and energy. Poses added to target core.  


NEW!!! PADDLEBOARD YOGA!!! 48th St Watersports, 48 St bayside
No paddle board experience necessary.  
For a new way to challenge your body and mind! Add a basic yoga practice on an extra wide paddle board anchored in the bay in a gentle cove, fine for beginners! Guided practice in class setting in the bay. Gentle waves move the board while the practitioner experiences a sequence kept basic so that you will feel some challenge all muscles, primarily the core, just by holding simple postures in gently moving water. A different experience of yoga, lots of fun, and a complete workout. End in full relaxation experiencing the bliss of connecting with air, water, and the beautiful natural setting around you. Comments have been..."Totally awesome!!!" and "Best Savasana EVER!" This one's a favorite!!! $35(includes paddle board rental and short paddle lesson)

SPECIAL 75min TARGETED SESSIONS- 
Deep, Slow Yin Stretch/Meditation
A technique inspired by Chinese medicine/acupressure to increase flexibility in the deeper tissues/joints. Fine for beginners/any level. Release tension in hips, back, shoulders, and neck. Decrease Stress. Experience the art of stillness, much improved mobility. Great for rehabilitation of injury, joint issues, to enhance athletic flexibility and performance, and create an increase in overall mobility and comfort.
Yin is an excellent style to practice the art of meditation due to its quiet, contemplative technique. Add the beach scenery and a sunrise and it is a recipe for deep and total serenity of body and mind.

NEW!!! Family Yoga on the Beach
Certified instructor, Annie Haun, and her 4 year old daughter :)
 take you through a sequence designed just for young children and parents. Bring the whole family for a fun yoga class that combines kid-friendly themes and partner/group poses to try as a family. This class encourages a special family bond while introducing fun yoga postures for children and adults alike, teaching mindfulness and fun. Suitable for ages 4+
Don't miss this great experience together to remember!
$25 for parent and child, $10 per additional family member
